The range for women carrying twins is 16-20 kg (35-45 lb).

Young adolescents (<2 years after menarche) and African-American women should strive for gains at the upper end of the range in the pregnancy chart.

Short women (<57 cm or <62 in) should strive for gains at the lower end of the range in the pregnancy chart.
